Calling for customer clicks
Tteoksang keyword
Blog #2 By Song In-seong, January 3, 2022
In my last post, I mentioned that it is important to have an online presence in search engines to get customers to find your offline business on their own.
Simply put, optimizing a website for search engines is called SEO (search engine optimization).
The Alpha and Omega of SEO is ‘Keywords’
SEO is a keyword game. The more keywords that customers can easily find on search engines, the more opportunities you have over your competitors. The key is not to secure a large number of keywords. It is important to analyze whether the keywords you are targeting are the keywords that customers are actually searching for.
Smart people probably already understood this, but to make sure you understood, I'll give you a quiz.
Quiz: Legal Advice vs. Bar Exam
If you were targeting keywords as a lawyer, which of these two keywords would be better suited to attracting clients?
880 legal consultations per month vs. 3,600 bar exams per month
As in the above example, you should be careful not to select keywords simply based on search volume. It is important to distinguish what your customers intend to search for and what relevance the keyword has to your service.
Short Tail Keywords
Keywords are classified into two types: 'short-tail keywords' and 'long-tail keywords'.
Short-tail keywords are literally keywords that are short in length. You can think of them as mixed keywords with one or two words or less on search engines, like 'legal advice' and 'bar exam' as seen above.
- Competition rate: Most difficult
- Effect: Best
- Examples: Legal advice, bar exam
Long Tail Keywords
Generally, mixed keywords with 3 to 5 keywords are called 'long-tail keywords'. If there are keywords that you have never done SEO for before, you should start your search engine optimization with long-tail keywords. If someone tells you that they will get you to the top of the 'legal advice' keyword in just a few days, you should consider it a scam. Don't waste your money and time.
You should use a strategy that focuses on securing short-tail keywords by gradually occupying long-tail keywords.
- Competition rate: average
- Effect: Medium
- Example: Free legal advice, legal advice review, free legal advice in seoul
Let's have a keyword building
(Keyword building theory is a theory I created for easy explanation.)
If you look at the picture below, there is a keyword building. There are three offices on each floor from the first to the third. If you own all three offices on the first floor, you will become the owner of the first floor of the building. If you own nine offices up to the third floor, you will own the entire keyword building.
Likewise, as you increase your long-tail keywords, you will eventually have short-tail keywords, and eventually you will monopolize all of those target keywords.

Online building owners will soon be keyword building owners
As the term 'online building owner' has recently become a hot topic, how about becoming a 'keyword building owner' that customers come to on their own?
SEO is a search advertisement that improves brand position and value and is the most trusted online by customers. SEO is now the marketing that your business needs, rather than paid search advertisement that is becoming increasingly competitive and expensive.
thank you. :)
